FAQ

Who can apply to the International Institute of Mentoring?
The IIOM is not just for ministers, but for anyone who has a passion and a dream inside of them to spread the gospel, touch hearts, heal hurts, and see God change lives. There are many mentees in the pastor role, but just as many who are in the work place, and the IIOM has caused a change in the way they do business.

How do I know if IIOM is right for me?
We offer an opportunity for you to attend the Main Event as an Attendee so that you can “sample” our mentoring program. You also have an opportunity to meet other Mentees and see how IIOM is helping them to fulfill God’s plan and purpose in their lives.

How old do you have to be for mentoring?

There is no age requirement; all we ask is that you have a passion to work for the Kingdom—a desire to know more, a hunger to be taught and a yearning to fulfill your destiny.

Is room and board included in the tuition?

The Attendee registration fee covers the cost of all IIOM day and evening sessions. The Mentee tuition covers the cost of all IIOM day and evening sessions, as well as the twelve month mentoring program. The tuition does not include room and board or meals. You will be responsible for booking your own hotel room. Click here for a list of hotels in the area and Click here for a list of area restaurants.

Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?

Scholarships and/or financial aid are provided as funding is available. Please contact us if you would like to sponsor a scholarship.

Do Returning Mentees need to fill out an application?
Yes, all returning mentees need to complete a Returning Mentee application as well as have one Pastoral and Personal recommendation form submitted.

What is the schedule like?
The Main Event for IIOM is a full day of breakout sessions and main sessions, as well as evening services. Click here for a complete schedule. First time Attendees and Mentees will also participate in an Orientation and Returning Mentees will participate in Group Sessions on Wednesday between 9am and 3pm. One on One sessions with Mentors will be conducted at the IIOM Intensives throughout the year.

What time will the meetings be over on Saturday so I can book my flight home?

The Saturday meeting last throughout the afternoon. We suggest that you select a late evening flight if you must leave on Saturday. Depending on the airport you will be flying out of, make sure you provide ample time to return your rental car and make it through security lines at the airport.

If I come to the IIOM as an Attendee, can I become a Mentee later?
Yes! You may complete the remaining New Mentee application and become part of the twelve month mentoring program. Your Attendee registration fee will even be transferred over to the mentoring program tuition, so that you will be responsible for only the balance of the program tuition.
